Ενας άνθρωπος έχασε τη ζωή του σε βιομηχανική εγκατάσταση κοντά στην Φεράρα, εξαιτίας του σεισμού που σημειώθηκε στη βορειοανατολική Ιταλία, όπως ανακοίνωσε η υπηρεσία Πολιτικής Προστασίας της χώρας ενώ δύο άνθρωποι τραυματίστηκαν σε άλλη περιοχή.

Earthquake strikes near Bologna in Italy
A 5.9-magnitude earthquake has struck near Bologna, Italy, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS).No injuries were immediately confirmed, an Interior Ministry spokesman said, but many calls were coming in and there was one report of a roof collapsing in Sermide, a small town between Bologna and Verona, and of a woman inside calling for help.Firefighters said there were some "structural collapses" near the town of Bondeno, and the initial quake was followed by a fairly strong 5.1 magnitude aftershock.
"It's in the Bologna-Ferrara area. There's been a bit of damage, some structures have come down with people in them," a person at the Ferrara firefighter headquarters said over the phone.The quake woke residents in Bologna shortly after 3.00am (local time), shaking furniture and setting off car alarms, a Reuters reporter living there said. People exited on to their balconies, but soon went back to bed, he said.No damage in Bologna had been reported, an official there said.The quake, which initially registered at magnitude 6.3, was centered 35 kilometres north-northwest of Bologna in northern Italy at a relatively shallow depth of 10 kilometres, the USGS said.The quake hit in a populated area near the northern Italian cities of Modena, Ferrara, Verona and Mantua.

Un forte terremoto, con epicentro a 36 chilometri a nord di Bologna, ha fatto tremare tutto il Nord Italia, da Milano a Padova, da Genova a Biella. Alle 4.04 una prima scossa, di 5.9 gradi, ha fatto tremare tutte i palazzi e dopo pochi minuti altre 2 scosse, rispettivamente di 4,1 e 2,2 gradi, hanno confermato il pericolo. Alle 5.10 un ultima scossa ha impedito alle persone di tornare serenamente a dormire, anche se per il momento non sono stati segnalati danni a persone o a cose.
